DC Gurly Show

Grena Dean

Hi there!

I’m Grena Dean, one of the newer faces on the DC Gurly show! I’m so glad you visited my page <3 I am so excited to be in the DC Gurly show! In just a few months, I’ve had some incredible experiences, and I have all of you to thank!

Read on to find out more about me!

What made me decide to join the DC Gurly Show?

Well, I saw my first show around October of 2010. I will never forget watching Private Tails fall to her knees and strip down to her tassels. It was that moment right there, when I saw her connection to the audience, and the audience’s reaction, that I knew I wanted to be on that stage.

It’s not just about the attention. It’s about the freedom to take off your clothes, the confidence to proudly rock your body, and the experience of sharing it with others. The DC Gurly Show is such a dynamic experience for those both on and off the stage, and that’s what drew me to join the troupe.

What does it feel like to be on stage?

Incredibly liberating. The moment I get on the stage and the music starts, my moves and mind go out the window. I’ve been known to choreograph a routine for 3 hours just to throw the moves out the window in light of the moment. It feels incredibly freeing to walk up to a complete stranger, make eye contact, and dance for her.

Who are my biggest influences, idols, and role models?

Lady Gaga, obviously, because her message is so clear: self acceptance in a world that judges you. I will proudly rock my itty bitty titties, and my thick thighs, because baby, I was born this way!

Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and The Pussy Cat Dolls are some of the greatest dancers of our time. My style of dancing is very Pop heavy, and street jazz heavily influences my moves on stage.

Do I do other performances around the city ?

I have been a Go-Go dancer at a few clubs around the city, but for the most part, the DC Gurly show is my primary outlet for my risqué dancing. If you’re interested in booking me, email the dc gurly show and I’d be happy to learn more about the opportunity!

How can You find out more about my scheduled performances?

You can like my fanpage, Grena Dean, or you can add me! We also have a DC Gurly Show facebook group and page as well, and we always list what days we perform and which performers will be there.

Thanks so much for taking the time to get to know me! Hope to see you at a show soon!
